The CB Scheme (International Electrotechnical Commission System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components) is an international system operated by the IECEE. In this system, certification bodies from IECEE member countries perform safety and performance testing of electrical products based on IEC standards. The test results, known as CB Test Reports and CB Certificates, are mutually recognized among IECEE member countries.
The primary goal of the CB Scheme is to reduce international trade barriers that arise from the need to comply with varying certification or approval criteria across different countries.
