CQC Certification

CQC stands for China Quality Certification Center. Unlike the CCC mark, which is mandatory, the CQC mark is a voluntary certification issued by the China Quality Certification Center. CQC certification indicates that a product meets relevant requirements for quality, safety, performance, and electromagnetic compatibility, among others. The certification scope covers over 500 types of products, including machinery, electrical equipment, electrical appliances, electronics, textiles, and building materials. The CQC mark focuses on safety, electromagnetic compatibility, performance, and the limitation of hazardous substances (RoHS), all of which directly reflect product quality and impact consumer safety and property. The aim of CQC certification is to protect consumer interests, promote improved product quality, and enhance the international competitiveness of domestic enterprises.

CQC stands for China Quality Certification Center. Unlike the CCC mark, which is mandatory, the CQC mark is a voluntary product certification also issued by the China Quality Certification Center. The CQC certification signifies that a product meets relevant requirements for quality, safety, performance, and electromagnetic compatibility. The certification covers over 500 types of products, including machinery, electrical equipment, electrical appliances, electronics, textiles, and building materials. The focus of CQC certification is on safety, electromagnetic compatibility, performance, and the limitation of hazardous substances (RoHS), all of which directly reflect product quality and impact consumer safety and property. The aim is to protect consumer interests, improve product quality, and enhance the international competitiveness of domestic enterprises.

The application process for the CQC mark is similar to that for the CCC mark, and it can be done both online and in writing (with online submissions being the primary method). There are 160 major categories of voluntary products under CQC. If a product does not fall under the CCC scope, it can apply for the CQC mark, which facilitates smooth customs clearance into the Chinese market, helps improve product quality, build a well-known brand, and increase market competitiveness in China.

China Energy Label

Certification Overview

To enhance energy management, promote energy-saving technology, and improve energy efficiency, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine have established the “Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Measures,” which have been in effect since March 1, 2005.

The China Energy Label is a colored label with a blue and white background, divided into 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 levels. Level 1 indicates the product meets international advanced standards and is the most energy-efficient; Level 2 indicates relatively energy-efficient; Level 3 represents average energy efficiency in the domestic market; Level 4 indicates below average energy efficiency; Level 5 is the market entry standard, and products falling below this level are not allowed to be produced or sold.

Product Range

Currently, 11 batches of product lists have been released, including household refrigerators, room air conditioners, household washing machines, self-ballasted fluorescent lamps, storage-type electric water heaters, household induction cookers, computer monitors, copiers, automatic rice cookers, AC fans, flat-panel TVs, digital TV receivers, and more.

Application Process

  1. Product Testing: Conduct tests with a testing agency, and obtain an energy efficiency report. The original report must be submitted to the Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Center for review and record-keeping.
  2. Online Registration: Fill out the registration information online, including the details required for the energy efficiency label.
  3. Label Production: Produce the energy efficiency label according to the requirements of the relevant product implementation rules.
  4. Submit Required Documentation: After receiving the written documentation, the Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Center generally provides feedback or requests corrections within 10 working days. Once the registration is complete, the information will be published on the China Energy Label website and can be queried by registration number, producer name, or model.
