DOE Energy Efficiency Certification

U.S. Federal Regulations (10 CFR 430) stipulate that all external power supplies entering the U.S. market must meet at least Level IV efficiency standards and must be clearly marked on the product. Additionally, manufacturers and brand owners are required to submit two important documents to the Department of Energy (DOE):

  1. Compliance Statement: This document confirms that the product meets the energy efficiency requirements outlined in the federal regulations.
  2. First Certification Report: This initial report provides certification of the product’s compliance.

Both documents must be sent by mail to the Department of Energy (DOE).
